Lorraine ‘wafts’ in to Strath’s paradise gardens
Edith Barnes, head gardener at Drummond Castle, was delighted to welcome a much-loved television personality to the historic gardens on Saturday.
Former model and actress Lorraine Chase, who rose to fame in the 1970s after appearing in comical adverts for Campari, which gave rise to her catchphrase“Nah, Luton Airport!”, was visiting friends in the area.
Lorraine told the Herald she had very much enjoyed her stroll round the grounds and was interested to hear from Edith about the gardens and the hard work and dedication put in by Edith and her team to keep them maintained.
