Rhona Brock Indp

-

Rhona was born and brought up in Crieff.

She was first elected as an independent councillor in 2012 and aims to serve all communities and their different needs within the Strathearn ward.

She said:“It is my belief that living within the ward that you represent gives you the knowledge and understanding that your community relies on.

“During Covid this proved vital in terms of being accessible to your constituents - being right on the doorstep I was still able to attend to their needs.

“I have built up good working relationships with councillors and officers within Perth and Kinross Council, which I feel is a vital part of being a councillor.

“When asked why I stand as an independent councillor I say that I put the needs and aspirations of the community first, and I am not restricted by the need to toe a party line.

“Since being elected I have listened to local concerns and kept in touch with local opinion.

“I will work for all of you, without fear or favour, building on my experience during the last 10 years to bring new life, new hope, new jobs, new initiatives to the ward to the best of my ability.

“My pledge if elected will be to continue to fight for improved road safety within the ward, more policing to tackle anti-social behaviour and monitor over-development in the ward, whilst I welcome growth.

“I am also mindful of the need to ensure the integrity of the community.”
