Blue and Golds see off Sharks challenge to secure points

Crieff and Strathearn RFC rounded- off their league season at home last Saturday.

Rosyth Sharks were the visitors in Braidhaugh for what was a double-header, meaning 10 points were on offer to the winner.

The final score was 3226 and the Blue and Golds earned the vital Tennent’s Caledonia Region League Division three points.

Meanwhile, the club recently announced plans to host its popular Sevens tournament for the first time in two years later this month.

I t will be held at Braidhaugh next Saturday, April 30.

The tournament has not been held since 2019 owing to res t rictions associated with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Billed as a jam-packed day of “scintillat­ing rugby and a great social environmen­t”, this year’s edition will include a women’s sevens competitio­n for the first time.

The Sevens tournament is free to attend.
