Code of conduct change

-

Councillors have approved an update to the code of conduct for Perth and Kinross Council employees.

It was put before PKC’s strategic policy and resources committee on Wednesday, April 20.

The changes have been brought in as“new ways of working evolve”.

The update sets out the protocol for council employees working in partnership with third sector organisations such as PKAVS, Pink Saltire and the Centre for Inclusive Living.

Employees are required to act with “integrity, trust, respect, openness and transparency at all times”.

Speaking ahead the meeting, PKC’s chief operating officer Karen Donaldson said:“The coronavirus pandemic led to us working more closely with our third sector partners.

“This will continue through the Perth and Kinross Offer as we find new ways to deliver the services our communities want and need.

“This update to the code of conduct formalises the working arrangements with third sector organisations to ensure we have the best working relationships possible.”

Convener John Duff told the committee: “Developed in partnership with third sector groups, such as PKAVS, Pink Saltire, and the Centre for Inclusive Living, the protocol will help ensure that we have the best possible working relationships with our third sector partners.”
