Back to the‘80s fundraiser for charity

-

Strath residents have been invited to take a trip back in time during an upcoming fundraising event.

Local resident Gemma Mills is organising a ‘Back to the ‘80s’ party at Crieff Golf Club on Friday, July 15.

Proceeds raised will be donated to region- wide charity Perth Autism Support.

As well as a host of other activities, the evening – which will run from 7.30pm until late – will include an ‘ 80s disco by Marbles Entertainment and a live performance by entertainer Marilyn Childs Duncan.

There will also be a selfie pod, buffet, auction, raffle and tombola.

Fancy dress is encouraged and there will be prizes for the best costumes.

Tickets have been priced at £10.

Gemma explained that tickets sales have been going well in advance of the event.

She said: “Over half of the tickets available have been pre- booked already, so limited tickets are now available.

“All proceeds will be donated to Perth Autism Support.

“Both of our sons have autism and they, along with our daughter, are helping to organise the event. They will be there helping on the night too.

“We are looking for donations for the tombola, raffle and auction.

“We are also looking for any local businesses who’d like to sponsor the event.”

Gemma has organised successful events in aid of the good cause previously, including a ‘Back to the ‘90s’ night and a talent contest.
