Pictures of Mi
Rather than following the crowd, Xiaomi has tried something different with the Mi 11’s camera setup
Take on Mi
The massive 108MP main snapper is the star of the show, complete with optical image stabilisation for blur-free photos, but it isn’t paired with optical zoom. The resolution makes 30x digital zoom viable, but don’t push it.
More of Mi
You get a 13MP ultra-wide secondary sensor and a 5MP telemacro for close-ups. Wide-angle results are respectable, but exposure and colour balance aren’t so well controlled, creating slightly washed-out images.
Count on Mi
In just about all conditions, the main camera takes detailed and balanced photos, with pixel-binning reducing the 108MP raw data down to 27MP images. Video wise, you can shoot 8K video at up to 30fps.
Close to Mi
The telemacro lens has autofocus, so what it lacks in resolution it makes up for in ease of use. There’s an impressive level of bokeh blur for a phone, though it’s clear the
5MP sensor is the limiting factor for quality.
