CASIO A100WEPC

How much retro is enough? Casio’s laying it on pretty thick with the A100WEPC. Following the standard A100, a modern take on the F-100 watch worn by Ripley in Alien, the WEPC version adds gaming’s most famous glutton to the mix. It’s also gold-plated, apparently to echo the original yellow Pac-man cabinet. Hmmm. Less suspect authenticity comes by way of the watch face, which features Pac-man, the famous monsters/ghosts, and the ‘Illuminator’ logo in the game’s iconic font. Completing the look is a laser-etched band with the dot-gobbler, bits of maze… and yet more ghosts. This watch could only be more Pac-man if Casio had somehow figured out how to actually run the game on it. £tba / casio.co.uk
