The one thing more surprising than the price of Apple’s Homepod Mini is its size… especially when you hear one in action. Despite being barely bigger than an orange, this affordable Siri-powered speaker sounds pleasingly rounded and well-balanced. Its diminutive dimensions limit how much sonic heft it can summon, but pairing two goes a long way towards solving that issue. While Siri still lags a little behind Alexa and Google Assistant when it comes to IQ, and Homekit support isn’t quite as wide in range, for Apple Music subscribers the Mini is surely a better proposition than the full-size Homepod.
