1 Halo: The Master Chief Collection

We can’t talk about Xbox without saluting its defining tentpole shooter – and the best way to experience it is in this collection, which includes the original trilogy. And, of course, it’s available on Game Pass for the Xbox One series as well as being recently optimised for Series X/S.

First up, there’s the original game, Combat Evolved – one of the greatest launch titles of all time. Then there’s Halo 2, which brought online gaming to millions of console owners via Xbox Live. Halo 3 finishes the trilogy on a uniquely epic scale, and then we get the addition of Halo 4, which sees Master Chief return to battle against new enemies and deadly technology.

Microsoft calls this collection “the definitive Halo experience”. No arguments there, since it basically includes everything.
