VIBRATE PRETENDER Sony Playstation VR2

-

For some unlucky gamers it might seem that the virtual world is the only place they’re ever likely to get their mitts on a Playstation 5, such is the seriousness of the ongoing stock shortage… but that hasn’t stopped Sony upping the white console’s desirability factor that little bit more. Sony first confirmed it was working on a new VR headset back in February 2021, and a year later we finally know what it’ll look like.

Sleeker and lighter than its predecessor, the Playstation VR2 has a new vibration motor that will make you feel every bump, blast and bullet. Inside, two 4K HDR OLED displays combine with eye-tracking tech to do a better job of tricking your brain into thinking what you’re seeing is real. Perhaps most significant of all, though, is the introduction of the orb-like Sense controllers, which have haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, analogue sticks and buttons, and can detect when your finger is just resting on one of them for even more precise control. Real and virtual fingers crossed this one is not so hard to get hold of.
