Well over £2k is a lot of money for a television, even one as slim and well-specified as this, especially when you take the humdrum audio into account – not to mention the absence of a stand. But the OLED specialists have made good on the ‘Evo’ promise by serving up pictures that exceed expectations… so maybe LG is entitled to charge what it thinks it can get away with. The G1 really is a top-class set – between this and the Samsung at No1, there’s really nothing in it.
