Smart cars have always been tiny, but the Smart #1, er, isn’t. But it’s not huge either: as the company moves into all-electric territory this new model is a sort of mini-suv.

It’s designed by Mercedes, with a panoramic sunroof, frameless doors and an air of refinement alongside the funky styling touches.
