As I write, the sun is shining, the birds are tweeting and there’s a gentle breeze flowing through the door. I’m sat in my conservatory, soaking up the sunshine – our great British summer is on its way. And a good job, too, as this issue we’ve filled our pages with plenty to get your garden ready for alfresco dining, entertaining with friends or simply enjoying a good book. Head to page 53 and pick out an on-trend look for your outdoors. Plus, this issue’s Style School (p63) is full of gardening hints, including tips from Charlie Dimmock. Or if your conservatory needs a makeover, take inspiration from Georgia’s pretty floral and yellow scheme (p74), and be sure to invest in a new patio set (p78). If you’re thinking about revamping your kitchen but don’t want the expense, our accessory ideas on page 106 will give your room a lift for less than £90. We loved Stylist at Home Charlotte’s kitchen (p40) so much, we popped it on the cover. It just shows what a coat of paint can do to your cabinets. Speaking of paint, why don’t you give your front door a cheerful makeover by painting it a fresh colour – we’ve got three looks on page 58 for you to try.
