sand the bedside table using sandpaper until it’s smooth. coat with yellow emulsion paint. be sure to brush in one direction (the next coat is brushed on at right angles to this). leave to dry.

1stir the crackle basecoat then brush this on in the same direction as the yellow paint. coat thoroughly and leave to dry for at least 1 hour.

2apply a coat of mint emulsion. This needs to be applied quickly, with only one stroke over each area and at right angles to the first direction. start at the back to practise. you’ll notice the cracks will begin to form almost immediately. leave to dry overnight. apply the crackle topcoat to seal and leave to dry for 2-4 hours.
