Crafty touches, clever shopping and a passion for pattern helped Stylist at Home Susannah, 42, decorate her colourful family home

Getting going

I always knew I’d make major changes to the ground floor. The original layout was traditional, with glazed doors dividing the living room and dining area, and a small separate kitchen.
