My ROOM...

About Me I’m Christine Harrison, 36, and I’m a full-time blogger at littlehouseonthecorner.com. I live with my partner Jan Weiner, 37, in stockport, Lancashire. We bought our four-bedroom edwardian home in June 2010. the whole house had to be gutted but the living room was the first area we renovated. We wanted a place to retreat to when the rest of the house was still such a state!

My challenge the living room carpet was ancient, the room felt freezing as the windows and radiators were old and inefficient, and the original features had been removed. We wanted to improve the flooring, enliven the room, and reinstate the period features, in order to stay true to our edwardian house’s age.

My wish list We needed a warm, elegant, grown-up space we could use for entertaining.
