Oust lingering smells with these tips!

wipe down THE SOFA

If you detect a bad scent on your sofa or soft furnishings, make a solution to get rid of the problem. Mix some warm soapy water with white wine vinegar and scrub the affected area. Be sure not to over-wet the surface, though.

Tackle MUSTY cupboard SMELLS

Furniture often acquires a stale smell if it’s not been used for a while. Check for woodworm as it’ll need to be chemically cleaned. Leave the item outside to air if you can, then pop a bowl of bicarbonate of soda inside to eliminate niffs.

REFRESH CARPETS

A few hours before you run the vacuum round, sprinkle bicarb onto the carpet where it smells; it will soak up the odours. Vacuum as normal and you should be free from the whiff!
