COME ON IN!

ABOUT me I’m Gemma Godfrey, 28, a volunteer coordinator, and I live with my partner Ross, 27, a quantity surveyor, our four-monthold son Louis and dog Alfie. We live in a three-bedroom terraced house close to Chester.

my CHALLENGE The existing dining room was a bit like a corridor, and as it’s linked to the living room as part of an open-plan layout, it was difficult to make use of the space. I wanted both rooms to be defined zones and to work well with each other.

my WISH LIST In the dining room, I wanted a built-in bench seat along one wall that we could use for storage. I was also keen to add some industrial touches in both rooms, including a ladder shelf.
