1 Either use a long branch, which should be completely dry, or source a long piece of wood. Lauren used a curtain pole, but even a mop handle would work. To disguise the wood, cover it by wrapping faux leafy garlands around the pole. You can fill in any gaps with real evergreen foliage. 2 Attach two or three screw hooks or screw eyes into the ceiling – how many you need will depend on the weight of your pole, with the greenery and decorations included. 3 Tie the same number of lengths of twine as the number of hooks around the pole, and then suspend it above a table. 4 Using fishing wire or decorative ribbon, hang baubles from your pole. For a bigger impact, vary the sizes and heights of the baubles.
