You will need party hat thin black card pencil scissors staple gun hot-glue gun tinsel sparkly pipe cleaners stickers White and metallic pens Darning needle thin black elastic
1 Use an old paper party hat as a template. Carefully flatten it out, then trace the outline onto thin black card. Cut it out and curl the shape to make a cone. Add a staple to secure at the bottom, then glue or tape the seam. 2 Glue tinsel around the bottom rim, leave to dry. Poke short lengths of sparkly pipe cleaners through the top, and glue in place. 3 Personalise with shiny stickers and use white and metallic felt pens to add party-themed slogans. 4 Finish by making a small hole at the bottom of the hat on both sides using a darning needle. thread through a length of thin black elastic and tie at each side to make a chin strap.
