ABOUT ME I’m claire lloyd Davies, 41, a photographer, and I live with my partner, richard Stockley, 44, a researcher, and our two daughters, connie, nine, and rosie, seven. we bought the house in February 2015. It wasn’t really fit for habitation when we moved in so we got started on renovations straight away.

MY CHALLENGE To give our tired, dated hall a complete new look that was fresh, light and welcoming.

MY WISH LIST Top of my list was a fun feature carpet or runner for the stairs that would make a real impact when you walked in, as well as practical, easy-to-clean flooring and plenty of storage.
