Do it Hairpin-leg coffee table

Cut a piece of wood or MDF to your chosen size. sand the edges thoroughly until completely smooth, then lightly sand the table surface. Wipe clean with a lint-free cloth. Apply a coat of varnish to the tabletop, leave to dry according to the instructions on the tin, on a flat surface. Once dry, place the tabletop face down, then mark the position of the hairpin legs (try Amazon or ebay) with a pencil through the screw holes, making sure the plate at the top of the leg is square to the table edge. secure the legs in position with screws using either a drill or screwdriver.
