ABOUT ME i’m Laura higham, 39, and i live with my husband David, 41, Jack, eight, Sophie, five, and our cat Poppy in a four-bed detached house in crowborough, east Sussex. i am an interiors blogger (@the_indigo_house and theindigohouse.net) and David’s a police sergeant. We moved here in august 2016 and the kitchen is the first room we tackled.

MY CHALLENGE We needed a multi-functional room which could operate as a family space, too.

MY WISH LIST i wanted to open up the room so that it didn’t feel narrow and to maximise storage.
