Mix things up for a relaxed retro look

1. Smooth out the edges

the loft-style raw materials here have been given a polish. Reclaimed mango wood gets a dark stain and clean edges, and metal is smooth rather than distressed.

2. Pick a retro palette

with a simple grey and neutral backdrop, a little colour goes a long way. Seventies shades are making waves this season – try warm ochre, tangerine and moss green.
