Upcycle laminate drawers

1 Remove drawers and unscrew any handles if necessary. Lightly sand the surface.

2 Wipe off any dust and apply a multi-purpose primer using a small foam roller or paint brush.

3 Once dry, apply your top coat – eggshell or satin wood paint will give a low-sheen finish. Leave to dry, lightly sand and repeat.

4 To paint a pattern, reinsert the drawers to make sure the design lines up. Mark out your scheme either freehand or use masking tape for a neat finish.

5 Remove the drawers to paint the design for easier access. When dry, finish with an optional top coat of clear sealant or wax to protect the paintwork.
