ABOUT ME i’m hayley thomas, 44, and i live with my husband mark, 45, and our two daughters, Daisy, eight, and four-year-old betty, in a thirties three-bedroom detached house in Warrington.

MY CHALLENGE extending and reconfiguring the old-fashioned, dingy galley kitchen to create a bright, inviting family room with doors leading out to the garden and space for a large dining table.

MY WISH LIST i really wanted an island where friends and family could congregate because i knew we would spend most of our time in here. i also wanted to incorporate a brick wall into the design.
