Paint your bath

1 to upcycle a cast-iron or acrylic bath, start by removing any rust or flaked enamel and thoroughly clean the surface. 2 Prepare the area by covering the floor. If you have an acrylic bath, remove the feet or tape them up to protect them and turn upside down to make it easier to paint. 3 rub the surface of the bath with a fine sandpaper and wipe to remove any dust. 4 apply a primer such as Zinsser B-I-N white primer sealer, using at least three coats and lightly sanding between each one. 5 For a matt finish, an eggshell paint is a durable option. apply with a quality paintbrush or small foam roller. apply two to three coats, lightly sanding between each one.
