DIY A LAMPSHADE

1 Choose and iron a pretty fabric. Lay it out flat and stick a sheet of styrene, cut to the size of the shade required, to the wrong side.

2 Trim the fabric, leaving a half inch border beyond the styrene on three sides. Cut one short end flush with the styrene.

3 Fold the extra fabric from the other short end over the styrene and glue with lamp glue.

4 Fold the shade into a loop and secure with binder clips. 5 Slide a lamp ring into the shade. Readjust clips for a snug fit. 6 Add glue to fabric border around the top in small sections and fold over the lamp ring. Repeat around bottom edge.
