WALLPAPER A BATHROOM
Choose solid vinyl or paperbacked vinyl wallpaper – these are highly resistant to moisture and humidity. Browse B&Q or Victorian Plumbing for a good range of specialist bathroom wallpapers.
Apply a mould-proof wallpaper primer to the wall before papering.
After papering, apply a coat of Decorators Varnish on top of the wallpaper to protect from stains and scuffing.
Avoid papering areas that frequently come into contact with water. Go half and half with paper on top and panelling below. Pick an accent colour from the paper and paint woodwork in a complementary shade.
Good ventilation is key. Install an efficient extractor fan that draws steam out of the bathroom, protecting your paper from damp.
