Tablescaping may have been the big summer trend but it’s all about mantelscaping for autumn. Whether above the fireplace or on a sideboard, you can create a focal point with a curated display of your favourite treasures. ‘When planning your mantelscape, go for accessories that have a common colour thread or pattern to create a cohesive look, which could be either tonal or one colour. And make sure you mix up height, shape and texture,’ says Daisy Coombes at Sass & Belle. The top tip: group the objects in odd numbers, then rearrange as the mood takes you.
