ABOUT ME I’m Hayley Blythe, 34, and I’m a dentist. I live with my husband, Luke, 33, also a dentist, and our two children, Alfie, five, and Siena, three. I share our renovation story at @townhousediaries

OUR HOME A three-bed townhouse in Ely, Cambridgeshire, built in 2001. We moved here in June 2015.

WHEN WE MOVED IN Every room was painted magnolia and as it had been rented for years the whole house felt battered, old and tired, and in need of some love.

AND NOW I worked my way round the house, picking a soft colour palette with warm tones and bold accessories to make it welcoming.

STYLE TIP Use throws, cushions and textures such as rattan, combined with splashes of black, to add interest to a neutral palette.
