COVER AN OLD HEADBOARD

-

1 2

Use your old headboard and remove the current fabric and padding. Carefully remove any nails and tacks.

Trim a piece of mattress padding to fit the headboard and use spray adhesive to attach. Cover with a layer of wadding, flip the headboard over to attach in place with a staple gun.

Lay the board on the fabric you’ve picked to cover it with and cut to shape, leaving a 5cm lip that you can pull over the board and staple into place on the reverse side. Ensure the fabric is pulled taut so as not to have an uneven, saggy finish.

Finish by using spray adhesive to apply a strip of ribbon or trim to the rough edge on the back of the board to cover any staples.

WHITE TOUCH

‘The rich-coloured flooring is a striking contrast to the white suite. Accessories and towels add more colour’
