ABOUT ME I’m Aylsa Hopps, 36, a content creator/dried flower business owner (@hoppsandblooms). I live here with my husband Martin, 35, a police chief inspector, and our children Isla, 12, and Camila, five.

MY HOME A 1930s semi in Durham, Tyne and Wear, bought in September 2015 (@hoppshouse).

WHEN WE MOVED IN It was very beige with wallpaper on every wall and ceiling; the narrow kitchen had torn vinyl and felt hemmed in. AND NOW We’ve replaced the kitchen, added bifold doors off the dining room and put a bath in our bedroom. Reclaimed flooring, bold colours and exposed brickwork give it a modern industrial edge.
