Brawlers bid to justify dogfight

- STEVE YOUNG

my parents. I’m respected in my own community and that’s all I care about.

“There’s not going to be any games. He will weigh in before me, leave with his entourage, and I will then arrive with my trainer and weigh in. I’m going to be all over him like a baby’s rash.

“He’s a back foot fighter. His hands will be down because that’s his style. He will try to lure me in there but I’ve got that covered.”

Haye expects to deliver one of his most spectacular knock-outs in a pay-day worth over £1million.

He said: “This will not go the distance in a million years. I will win by a knock-out – definitely.

“I will knock him out whatever round he wants. I will have to check the odds first.”

But Amir Khan feels his world title unification fight is the night’s better bout.

The Bolton light-welterweight faces Danny Garcia in Las Vegas a few hours after Haye and Chisora stop fighting.

Khan, 25, challenges Garcia, 24, for the American’s WBC belt and his old – now vacant – WBA title, which has been stripped from American Lamont Peterson after his positive drugs test.

He said: “He’s undefeated and he’s going to be confident.

“There’s not been a big fight in Britain for a long time and HayeChisora is going to be at prime-time. It’s heavyweights, so it’s exciting.

“I don’t want to take anything away from them both, but the world knows that my fight is bigger because it’s got two world titles on the line and it’s the classier fight.” QPR will reveal plans for a new 35,000-seat stadium within weeks.

The Hoops’ Loftus Road ground is the smallest in the top flight.

And chairman Tony Fernandes tweeted yesterday that the club have made a “great first step” in its attempts to obtain a new stadium.

Plans are at an advanced stage, according to sources close to QPR, and there will be an announcement before the start of the season.

QPR are also understood to be about to unveil new signing Park Ji-sung from Manchester United.

The South Korea international is believed to be moving to Loftus Road for £2million.

Park would help the Hoops achieve their aim of becoming a global “brand”, on the field as well as commercially.

The 31-year- old won four Premier League titles and a Champions League crown during his time at United.

He is understood to have been swayed to join QPR after hearing their ambitious plans.
