Quark dumplings served on strawberry sauce
The answer to the June 24 competition is George Harrison. The winner is

INGREDIENTS
Serves 4 500g low fat quark 1 sachet vanilla custard powder (37g) 85g sugar 1 egg yolk Iodised salt 250g strawberries 30g butter 1 sachet vanilla sugar
METHOD
Place quark on a clean kitchen towel and squeeze until it is almost dry. You should have about 375g of quark left. Mix with the vanilla custard powder, 50g of sugar and the egg
Although making this scrumptious dessert requires a little bit of effort it’s definitely worth it. It not only looks fantastic but tastes absolutely
heavenly too.

yolk. Cover and allow to rest for 30 minutes. Form eight dumplings and simmer in a pan, filled with slightly salted water for 10-12 minutes. The water should not boil.
Hull the strawberries and cut 50g into slices. Blend the remaining strawberries with one tablespoon of sugar.
Melt the butter and stir in the remaining sugar and vanilla sugar.
Drain dumplings and arrange on the strawberry purée. Garnish with strawberry slices and serve with vanilla butter.
