Razor blades found taped to slide
SICK yobs attached sharp blades to a slide in a children’s playground, sparking outrage on social media.
Razor and scalpel blades were found taped to the handrails on equipment at the Winifred Lane play area in Aughton, Lancashire.
Ormskirk and Burscough police warned of the threat in a Facebook post shared nearly 12,000 times in less than 24 hours: “We would ask everyone to be vigilant and check any play equipment before you let your child use it,” the force

Friday after three weeks in hospital. The Second World War veteran, who was awarded three medals, was attacked as he slept on November 6 at his home of 60 years in Bounds Green, north London.

The robbers made off with a 15-year-old Panasonic TV.
Son Simon, 67, said: “The people who did it need to be found and locked up... so they cannot do the same thing to anybody else.”
Detective Inspector Paul Ridley said: “We don’t know why he was targeted and...why they carried out this heinous crime for a telly worth a tenner.”
A £10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the robbers’ conviction. said. “Whoever did this could have caused serious injury to a child – please be assured we are fully investigating this matter.”
Those viewing the online police pictures were horrified. Jamie Stott said: “Anyone caught doing this should just be shot and dumped at sea.”
Another wrote: “What a sick and twisted thing to think up!! Disturbing.” Thomas Murphy added: “There is something serious lacking in our country that it’s coming to this.”
