Corbyn chaos and end of Brexit on the cards

T IS 899 days since 17.4 million people cast their votes to leave the EU in the biggest democratic exercise Britain has seen. In just another 110 days this country is meant to be finally free of the shackles of Brussels.

But before that can happen MPs must decide on Tuesday whether to support the Withdrawal Agreement negotiated by our Prime Minister, and it seems that the fate of this country could hang on their decision.

At the moment it appears that despite coming up with what many see as a good compromise with the EU, Theresa May is set for a terrible defeat of possibly more than 100 majority in the Commons.

Cabinet ministers have told this newspaper that they believe the Government could fall and be replaced by a disastrous alliance of Labour and the SNP.

If this were to happen we would be facing the end of any chance of Brexit happening, probably a second referendum on EU membership and another referendum on Scottish independence as Nicola Sturgeon tries to break up Britain.

And that is before we start thinking about the economic meltdown which would be caused by the far-Left seizing power.

There is no doubt that a Corbyn/Sturgeon axis is the worst possible outcome this country could face.

Mrs May’s deal is far from perfect but Conservative MPs need to be mindful that if they precipitate the collapse of the Government then we could end up with something far worse.
