Bezos ‘on date with TV star before split up’

AMAZON multibillionaire Jeff Bezos and a woman said to be his mistress were seen “making out like teenagers” at a Los Angeles hotspot six weeks before he announced his divorce, it was claimed last night.

Bezos, the world’s wealthiest man, was allegedly seen engaging in “public displays of affection” with TV news anchor Lauren Sanchez at a packed Italian restaurant.

One witness said: “They were in the middle of the restaurant, making out like teenagers. It was weird, because it would have been odd for any adults to be doing that at this restaurant, which is one of the hardest in LA to get into.”

The alleged sighting occurred at the end of November, nearly a month and a half before Bezos last week announced his split from wife MacKenzie after 25 years of marriage.

Legal experts believe the Amazon founder’s massive fortune – estimated at £107billion – could now be divided in two in what is likely to become the most expensive divorce in history.

A US magazine recently claimed he had been cheating on her for months with Ms Sanchez, 49.

Bezos, 55, who launched Amazon in 1994 – one year after marrying Mackenzie – has not publicly referred to Ms Sanchez.
