Magical night for legend Sophia

ITALIAN screen legend Sophia Loren had a magical night when she was joined by Oscar-winning director Rob Marshall at a US reception for Mary Poppins Returns.

The Two Women actress, 84, hosted the party in Beverly Hills for the film sequel, directed by her close friend Marshall.

The American musical fantasy, which was nominated for four Golden Globes, sees the magical nanny – played by Emily

Blunt – return to help the family through a tough time.

The critically lauded film also features Ben Whishaw and Emily Mortimer.
