Mills drops in for victory

- By Neil Fissler

WORCESTER are five points clear at the top of Pool Two with just one game remaining after a 20-18 win at OSPREYS.

Ryan Mills’ last-minute drop goal sealed victory for the Warriors, who trailed 15-7 at half-time.

CONNACHT beat SALE 20-18 in Galway to pull level with them at the top of Pool Three. The hosts led 17-0 at half-time but needed David Horwitz’s late penalty to seal victory after Sale rallied.

HARLEQUINS scored four first-half tries as the 31-20 win over GRENOBLE sent them top of Pool Five.

Nick Fenton-Wells grabbed a hat-trick as BRISTOL thrashed ENISEI-STM 65-9 to go second in Pool Four. ROB BAXTER has urged his EXETER team to “just go for it” when they face French champions CASTRES at Sandy Park.

The Chiefs’ hopes of reaching the Heineken Champions Cup’s last eight hinge on them winning their final two Pool Five games. Director of rugby Baxter (left) said: “I told the lads if they go to Munster (on Saturday) with something to play for they are effectively in the last 16 of Europe.”

SARACENS will progress if they beat Pool Three rivals LYON and then GLASGOW next Saturday. Glasgow, though, could progress as one of the three best runners-up if they see off CARDIFF BLUES.
