Clashes spoil ‘super’ Sunday

THE promotional videos for the TV sports channels are full of the delights ahead in 2019, but what they don’t tell you about is the almighty clash of events on Sunday, July 14.

On the same day, there is the Cricket World Cup Final at Lord’s, the final of the Wimbledon men’s singles in tennis, the Formula One British Grand Prix at Silverstone and the Bastille Day stage of the Tour de France.

Isn’t that a ridiculous spoiling of choice?
