BBC a complete turn-off
It would be interesting to know how many EU countries force their citizens to pay for a TV service they do not want (Nick Ferrari column, February 10).
I lived in one EU country for some years, a sensible non-money-grabbing democracy where TV licences were abandoned long ago.
I have a BT package and it would be a simple task for BT and other providers to remove the BBC from my system with a click of a mouse, just as simply as they are able to add channels.
It is against my human rights to force me to pay for a political, elitist organisation just to allow me to watch ITV or whatever.
