KIERON FREEMAN scored after just 38 seconds to set up the thumping victory over Reading that moved Sheffield United up to second in the Championship.

Gary Madine (right), on loan from Cardiff, scored his first two Blades goals and John Fleck’s deflected strike made it 4-0 shortly after half-time.

Blades boss Chris Wilder said: “We hit them hard from the off, then kept the hammer down and squeezed the life out of them.”
