No complacency from us – Lloris

- By Tom Hopkinson

HUGO LLORIS has warned his Tottenham pals there is still much work to be done if they are to reach the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in eight years.

Spurs have a 3-0 first-leg lead over Borussia Dortmund – but Lloris, 32, knows the Bundesliga leaders won’t roll over on their home ground.

He said: “We need to take this game as professionals with a lot of motivation.

“We know in football nothing is done and things can turn very easily if you don’t respect basics.

“We just need to forget about the first-leg result but keep the right feeling and confidence from that game because the second leg will be tough, we know.

“Especially after a tough period when we are going to play

Chelsea and Arsenal and then Dortmund.

“So it’s a good advantage but nothing is done, we all know that.”

Spurs have built up a nice little head of steam with four wins on the spin but are without a game this weekend and Lloris (below) is welcoming the brief respite their FA Cup exit has offered them.

He added: “We all know it was a tough period in the last few weeks and it’s a good moment to switch off a little bit and enjoy time with our family and friends, and then to be back next week with a fresh mind.

“I will be with my family, my girls, it’s perfect.”

Tottenham hope to have Harry Kane and Dele Alli back this week.
