Ton-up Bingham has final word

STUART BINGHAM ended the Welsh Open run of Joe O’Connor with a century barrage to reach today’s final.

Bingham, 42, who won the tournament two years ago, beat tour rookie O’Connor 6-2 at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena.

World No 103 O’Connor had taken out Kyren Wilson, Ding Junhui and John Higgins. But former world champion Bingham blasted in breaks of 107, 100, 104 and 125.

The Basildon pro (above) is getting back to his best form since being banned for three months last season for breaking betting rules.
