Oprah’s help for Meghan
THE Duke and
Duchess of Sussex will take their charity on a world tour to campaign for good causes.
They have been working on the project in the US with help from Meghan’s friend Oprah Winfrey during their six-week break.
TV tycoon Oprah, 65, has raised hundreds of millions through her own foundations. She has also worked with Harry on a programme about mental health.
One friend said: “Oprah, Meghan and Harry have the same passions, the same need to help others and the same desire to get things done.”
Meghan, 38, and Harry, 35, have spent part of their break with Meghan’s mother
Doria Ragland, 63.
One friend said: “The duchess has an extraordinary drive and reach. And she knows that she and the duke seem to connect with people in a way that the rest of the Royal Family do not.
“They could either stay in Britain and play second fiddle to the Palace – or they can make their own lives on a global stage.”
The couple have changed the charity status of their Sussex Royal Foundation to allow it to operate in all 53 Commonwealth countries.
