Dr No drink for me thanks, I’m working

DEDICATED Daniel Craig swore off booze while filming his final Bond movie – only touching a drop when 007 quaffed Bollinger on screen.

The actor wanted to stay in prime condition for No Time To Die – which insiders revealed includes a bare torso scene.

Daniel, 51, even stayed on the wagon at showbiz events with actress wife Rachel Weisz.

The results of the eight-month shoot will be seen on March 31 at the London premiere. A source connected to Bond makers MGM said: “Daniel may have a licence to thrill on film, but away from the camera his world was dull, dull dull.

“He was determined to remain as lean as ever for his farewell Bond and not be accused of missing a step since Casino Royale 13 years ago.

“His dedication was utterly and totally impressive. He counted the calories for nearly a whole year. He even ducked out of nights out socially with his friends, preferring to stay home with his daughter. Fans will get to see what great shape he is in during the film, because there is a torso scene. He wants fans to remember him being in cracking shape and looking as athletic and lean as he has ever been.”

Daniel – often seen drinking with Bond girls such as Berenice Marlohe in Skyfall – prepared differently for his 007 debut in 2006’s Casino Royale.

Then he boasted of drinking as “much Guinness as I can get down my neck”.
