Youngsters aspire to a career in video games
MORE than half of children would choose a career in video games over being a lawyer, doctor or even a professional footballer, research from Barclays says.
It said that of the 8 to 18 year-olds it surveyed, 68 per cent said they would rather work in a job that somehow involved video games over becoming a lawyer, while 58 per cent preferred it to becoming a doctor or nurse.additionally, 56 per cent said they would prefer to work in the games business than become a professional athlete.
More than 60 per cent of youngsters said that their favourite hobby is video games, which is one of the UK’S most successful sectors.the global smash hit Grand Theft Auto V was produced in the UK, grossing more than $6 billion (£4.6 billion) worldwide.
