We can all show our heroic NHS heroes that we care...
Let’s hand it to those carers
CARING Health Secretary Matt Hancock is backing our NHS Heroes campaign.
Last night, he said: “I wholeheartedly support the NHS Heroes campaign.
“Our talented health and care workers across the UK are rising to the immense challenge that we face as a country.
“As Health and Social Care Secretary, I’ve had the incredible honour of meeting many of them and could not be more proud.
“The courage, dedication and professionalism they show as they carry out their vital work both in hospitals and in our communities should be an inspiration for us all.
“I urge the public to show their support for these heroes – they are the very best of us.”
At the Sunday Express, we’re also proud to be part of the NHS Heroes campaign, which launched on Friday, to show support to the incredible NHS staff on the front line of the nation’s battle against coronavirus.
Their courage and hard work has always been a great source of pride for our country and now, more than ever, it’s time to say thanks to the heroes who overcome adversity each day to help us when we’re at our most vulnerable.
The incredible professionals who work in hospitals, GP surgeries, clinics and care homes are the beating heart of British life.
Whether it’s the surgeons or the porters, the nurses or catering staff, the physios or the midwives, the paramedics or the GPS, we cherish them all – and we’ve never needed them more.
They are bravely dedicating themselves to our care, heedless of their own health as they help patients beat Covid-19. Just like the rest of us, they are facing
A HUGE round of applause is to be staged by millions across the country to show our appreciation of the NHS and health workers.
The Clap For Our Carers tribute at 8pm onthursday has been described as the most unifying moment in Britain “since the end of the Secondworldwar”. Psychologist Professor Sir Cary Cooper said it would be a “simultaneous outpouring of gratitude to the health heroes battling to help us”. He added: “It will be the most positive moment so far in the fight against coronavirus.”
