And Meghan you’ll love it

enjoy time with her dear friend, actress Priyanka Chopra, a Malibu regular.

“The fashion brands are fantastic, as well. I know Meghan will be able to find the best of everything.”

Mr David has a note of caution for Harry as he adapts to the American pace. “The culture of Britain can never be replicated,” he says. “Every day I open the Filmon app on my phone and watch the BBC and ITV, soak up a little of the news, the very best in the world.

“I’ll make sure rugby fan Harry connects to it and soaks up the sport and culture, a little blast of sunshine. He will also miss the sense of humour. However, he’ll find comfort in the culture as well, people let each other live.”

Given that Harry and Meghan are used to the finest restaurants and nightlife, Mr David has an idea of the elite places the couple will enjoy.

“Harry will have plenty of options to keep him smiling,” he says. “Fine dining at spots like Carbon Beach Club andv’s are excellent... he might not get baked beans but the lobster is excellent.

“Harry and Meghan will be familiar with London spots like Nobu and Soho House – they’ll be even more impressed with the fabulous Nobu Malibu and Soho House Malibu.

“Soho House founder Nick Jones’s spot here keeps access golden – so elite even his own members don’t stand a chance of getting in unless they can prove they own local property.

“The couple will have the best of both worlds, anonymity with glamour, what the elite demand.”

While Mr David has nothing but praise for life in LA, veteran Sunday Express showbiz reporter Mike Parker is concerned La-la Land might not be everything Harry has been looking to escape.

He says: “Three years ago, five months after Buckingham Palace confirmed he was dating Meghan, Harry said in an interview, ‘I sometimes still feel I am living in a goldfish bowl, but I now manage it better.’

“Days later he admitted in another, more serious media chat, ‘I have probably been very close to a complete breakdown on numerous occasions when all sorts of grief and lies and misconceptions and everything are coming at you from every angle.’

“I believe those words will come back to haunt Harry, far more quickly than anyone might have feared, now he, his wife and their son have decided on a new life as a family in Los Angeles.

“For a start, they can expect their new goldfish bowl to be surrounded by sharks in the shapes of the most relentless paparazzi.

“Six thousand miles from the rest of his family, Harry is as likely to hate the phoniness of public life here as much as he does the fact that he has just moved his family from goldfish bowl to shark tank...”
